Waukesha, WI Accounting Associate Internship Are you an organized, detail-oriented student eager to gain hands-on experience in accounting? Chortek LLP is excited to offer an Accounting Specialist Internship within our Outsourced Accounting Services (OAS) Business Unit . This opportunity is designed to provide real-world experience supporting a variety of client accounting operations while building a strong foundation for your future career. Our Outsourced Accounting Services team partners with clients to manage their day-to-day accounting functions and provide reliable financial insight. As an intern, you will gain exposure to multiple industries and work alongside experienced accounting professionals. What You'll Do Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing Support bank and credit card reconciliations Participate in month-end close procedures Help maintain accurate and organized financial records Assist with journal entries and general ledger maintenance Support additional day-to-day accounting operations for clients Collaborate with team members to meet client deadlines and deliverables Complete QuickBooks Online Certification during your internship to build your accounting technology skillset You'll work on real client engagements, gain exposure to accounting systems and processes, and develop an understanding of how outsourced accounting services support growing businesses. We are currently seeking Summer 2028 Accounting Associate interns. Requirements Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Junior or senior standing preferred Basic understanding of accounting principles (financial statements, debits and credits, etc.) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Willingness to learn and take initiative Availability to work during the Summer 2028 internship period If you're ready to gain hands-on experience, earn a recognized certification, and build your accounting skillset in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, we would love to connect with you.
