Job Description

Senior Accountant Location:
Wausau, WI | Full-Time About the Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization and play an important role in day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll, and overall financial controls. This position is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on accounting responsibilities and process improvement and wants to have a meaningful impact on the organization's financial operations. What You'll Do Process biweekly and supplemental payroll. Prepare and review periodic financial statements and financial reports. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies. Ensure financial reporting follows applicable accounting standards and company policies. Support annual audits by working with external auditors and providing requested documentation and information. Maintain compliance with applicable local, state, and federal requirements. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Assist with budgeting and financial planning processes. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and procedures. Provide financial information and support to internal teams and leadership as needed. Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field . 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word . Strong Excel skills are a plus. Ability to travel occasionally as needed. Preferred CPA and/or CMA designation preferred. Experience with payroll processing. Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls. Experience identifying and implementing accounting process improvements. Why Consider This Opportunity? Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
