Job Description
Responsibilities:
Maintain multiemployer accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions. Balance multiemployer accounts by reconciling entries. Maintains general ledger activity, including monthly close and reconciliation of entries. Prepare periodic financial reports for trustee and board meetings. Maintain organized accounting records to support the annual independent audit and Form 5500 preparation in coordination with the Fund's external auditors. Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices and benefit-related disbursements, on a twice-weekly cycle. Maintain accurate accounting records for eight separate funds in current accounting software, Sage 50, and Excel. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting or related field required; bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 3-5 years of full-charge bookkeeping or staff accounting experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage 50 (or other accounting program) and fund accounting or multiemployer benefit plans is a strong plus. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate $28.85 - 33.66 (annual pay $60,000 - $70,0000, based on experience and qualifications. Non-exempt position.
