Job Description
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and statements. Perform general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses. Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant laws and regulations. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation. Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency. Maintain confidentiality of financial data and company information. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. One to three years of related experience (higher education experience preferred). Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Ellucian Colleague preferred. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Work Environment:
