GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position serves as an Accountant for the Wyoming Gaming Commission. This position is the primary position to receive all incoming payments, code them appropriately, make the deposits, and enter the information into the WOLFS system. This position is also responsible for all accounts payable, ensuring the proper coding is done prior to the payment so the money is deducted from the correct line item. This position handles all employee reimbursements for travel too. Working for the State of Wyoming offers more than a paycheck.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level. Receiving money from Operators, Vendors, and permittees. Coding the incoming money, preparing the deposit, and logging the information into the WOLFS system. Preparing payments, coding the payments, and entering the information into the WOLFS system. Clerical Work. Assisting with various clerical duties for all programs within the purview of the Wyoming Gaming Commission. Answering Telephones.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of critical thinking. Knowledge of interpersonal communication skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (typically in Finance)
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an
Accounting Technician OR Education & Experience Substitution:
3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of an
Accounting Technician Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None
