Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on Accounts Payable, and compliance with GAAP. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining the integrity of our financial records. The candidate should possess an associate's degree and a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience to include bank reconciliations, remote check deposit, receipts administration, accounts payable, general ledger, account reconciliation. A proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other essential programs. Prior experience with accounting software programs, preferably Sage. Candidate must have good communication skills and be organized and detail oriented. Possess the ability to meet strict deadlines and work well with others to meet the common goal. We offer a competitive salary & full benefit package, including 401(k). Duties Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using Sage financial software. Perform detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet and general ledger reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Process journal entries, conduct account analysis, and perform double-entry bookkeeping in accordance with GAAP standards. Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and verifying data entries. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions through meticulous data entry and spreadsheet management using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel for data analysis. Process employee expense checks. Remote check deposits, receipt administration. Qualifications Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices. Experience with financial management, including budgeting and forecasting. Proficiency in GAAP standards is essential. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments. Prior experience with SAGE software or comparable accounting software. Bank Reconciliations, accounts payable, general ledger and account reconciliation. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
