Job Description
A growing manufacturing company in San Marcos is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to help oversee daily accounting operations while partnering closely with the Controller and Finance leadership. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Accountant who is ready to take on more leadership, review work, improve processes, and become a key resource for the accounting team. You'll have exposure across month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR oversight, financial reporting, and internal controls.
What you'll ownSupervise and review day-to-day accounting activitiesLead portions of the monthly and year-end closeReview journal entries and account reconciliationsOversee AP and AR activityPrepare and analyze monthly financial statementsMonitor general ledger accuracyReview accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accountsInvestigate variances and unusual transactionsAssist with budgeting and forecastingCoordinate audit and tax-related requestsDevelop and document accounting proceduresIdentify opportunities to automate or streamline processesTrain and mentor accounting staffServe as a backup to the Controller when needed
