Job Description
Sierra Millworks is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a full-time, in-office position. This role will support a variety of accounting, estimating, and construction administration responsibilities for both Sierra Millworks and MD Construction and Consulting. Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Prepare and send customer statements
- Review vendor and subcontractor statements for accuracy and outstanding balances
- Create and prepare project bids and estimates
- Calculate and track job costs
- Review project expenses and compare costs against budgets
- Prepare and process subcontracts
- Request/ maintain subcontractor insurance
- Obtain and manage required construction permits
- Maintain accurate project, financial, and vendor records
- Communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams
- Assist with invoicing, billing, and payment tracking
- Organize and maintain digital and physical files
- Provide general administrative and accounting support to management
- Perform other accounting, estimating, and construction-related duties as needed Qualifications
- Previous experience in AR/AP, bookkeeping, accounting, construction administration
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to calculate and understand job costs and project expenses
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently, and with the team
- Organize multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with construction paperwork, permits, or subcontract agreements is preferred
- Construction, contracting, or millwork industry experience is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive.
