Accounting Lead Turkana Food South Jacksonville, FL Job Details Full-time $42,000 - $50,000 a year 18 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel GAAP Full Job Description About the Role Turkana Food South is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Lead to own the day-to-day accounting operations of our business. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable managing the full accounting cycle, keeps our books clean and audit-ready. You will report directly to leadership and serve as the go-to person for the numbers that keep the business running. If you are organized, dependable, and take pride in accurate, on-time financials, we would love to hear from you. What You'll Do Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger, journal entries, and month-end and year-end close. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable end-to-end, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly. Coordinate payroll processing and related recordkeeping. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax filings, and applicable regulations. Assist with budgets, cash-flow monitoring, and financial analysis. Serve as the primary point of contact for external accountants, auditors, and vendors. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including a lead or supervisory component. Strong knowledge of GAAP and the full accounting cycle. Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP is strongly preferred . High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the food, distribution, or manufacturing industry is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience.
