The Accounting Administrator Position Our new Accounting Administrator will report directly to our CFO and will be hands on performing a variety of transactional accounting work to include, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and collaborating with the management team to support cost control, financial accuracy and providing information to support business decisions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing Prepare weekly payroll for hourly and salaried non-union team members Validate timekeeping records Reconciling payroll to the general ledger and prepare journal entries Accounts Payable Process vendor invoices and ensure invoices are matched to purchase orders and receiving documentation Prepare check runs (ACH and wires) Reconcile to vendor statements Accounts Receivable Review customer invoicing accuracy and resolve billing descrepancies Monitor accounts receivable aging and support collection efforts Apply customer payments to open balances and maintain AR aging reports General Ledger and Financial Reporting Prepare and post journal entries Reconcile balance sheet accounts including inventory, accruals and prepaid expenses Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes Process Improvement Strengthen the accounting procedures and internal controls Collaborate with operations team members to improve cost tracking and inventory accuracy What You Bring to the Table Strong knowledge of accounting, payroll regulation and principles Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office suite and accounting systems such as Quickbooks on line. Familiarity with paylocity helpful Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills High level of accuracy, integrity and confidentiality Effective communication skills
Education & Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 5 - 7 years of accounting experience, in manufacturing helpful
Physical Requirements:
Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to sit or stand for long periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, reach and twist, to lift, carry, push and or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and the ability to communicate information.
