Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
The Controller is responsible for the accounting operations including production and analysis of periodic financial reports and forecasts. Supervises a team of accounting/finance professionals.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the accounting operations including production and analysis of periodic financial reports and forecasts.
- Maintain an adequate system of accounting records.
- Responsible for maintenance of comprehensive set of controls and budgets.
- Ensure accuracy of the unit's financial results
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, as well as those of the group.
- Complete ongoing analysis process and production constraints, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities.
- Perform monthly GL account reconciliations.
- Analyze 'plan to actual' variances and product profitability reports.
- Monitor and oversee other location accounting activities including factory A/P and payroll.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Must have strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
- Able to work as a team with others in the department.
- Capable of managing change, and problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed communication and organizational skills.
- SAP experience preferred.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration. Advance courses in Financial Management, Business Law and Computer Science are beneficial.
- Minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience required. Cost accounting background and experience preferred.
- CPA or graduate degree is preferred Bilingual skills in English and Portuguese are highly desired.
