Learn more at www.axiawh.com . We are currently accepting applications for an internship with our Accounts Payable and Accounting department. This is a 6 month paid internship - 30 hours/week The Accounts Payable & Accounting Intern will support the daily operations of the Accounts Payable and Accounting teams while gaining hands-on experience in financial processes and business systems. This role provides exposure to invoice management, vendor communications, document processing, accounting support activities, and special projects. The internship is designed to provide a broad understanding of accounting operations and financial best practices. Primary Responsibilities Open, sort, scan, and distribute incoming mail and invoices. Monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox and assist with routing inquiries and invoices to appropriate team members. Review and forward invoices through Coupa for processing. Assist with vendor statement reviews and follow-up activities. Download utility invoices and ensure timely submission for payment processing. Learn and assist with invoice entry and coding procedures. Maintain electronic records and supporting documentation. Support the Accounting team with administrative and accounting-related tasks. Assist with special projects, reporting, and process improvement initiatives as assigned. Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and financial controls
Experience and Education Required:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred:
Prior coursework in Accounting or Finance. Familiarity with ERP or invoice management systems is a plus. Interest in pursuing a career in Accounting, Finance, or Business Operations.
