Opportunity:
My client, a large manufacturing company, is looking to hire an Accounting Supervisor. This is a broad accounting leadership role covering month-end close, reporting accuracy, and day-to-day team development. You will work directly with senior leadership to help ensure the numbers tell an accurate, timely story every month. This role blends hands-on accounting work with people leadership. You will mentor and develop junior accountants while staying close enough to the details to catch issues before they become problems. This is a working leadership role, not a pure processing seat and not a strategy-only seat. You will need to be comfortable both doing the work and coaching others through it.
Responsibilities:
Oversee accounts receivable processes, including reconciliation of customer aging reports to preserve cash flow visibility for leadership Lead month-end close activities and ensure financial reporting is accurate and delivered on time Mentor and develop junior accountants, building their technical skills and confidence Partner with sourcing, shipping, and sales departments to resolve billing anomalies, pricing errors, and receiving discrepancies Oversee accounts payable processes, including review and reconciliation of vendor statements against payment terms Identify opportunities to modernize workflows and reduce manual bottlenecks as the business grows
Must-Have Skills:
4+ years in general accounting experience Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members Experience overseeing transactional accounting functions such as receivables or payables
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience in a manufacturing environment History of driving process improvement in a growing organization Comfort working across both receivables and payables oversight
