Located in Beaverton, Oregon, Howell Straczek LLC delivers reliable and professional services to a diverse clientele. The firm's collaborative approach emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and client satisfaction. Role description The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in office administration. An Administrative Specialist will work directly with management and other members of our team to provide best service to our clients. This position will require an individual who is self-motivated and willing to learn, has excellent time management skills and is able to work independently. Responsibilities Perform office administrator duties Front desk and reception responsibilities including answering phones and greeting clients Communicate with clients via phone and email, as necessary Processing and assembly of tax returns and financial statements Perform administrative support functions such as scanning, filing, data entry, etc. Assist in basic bookkeeping and internal accounting tasks. Utilize QuickBooks software Handle accounting duties including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, booking journal entries Prepare client invoices Monitor and maintain office and kitchen supplies Occasional trips to Post Office for certified mailings Qualifications 1-2 years administrative position experience in a CPA firm preferred but not required Associate degree preferred Attention to detail Strong interpersonal and communication skills Clear verbal and written communication are required Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a public accounting, deadline driven environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, QuickBooks Desirable experience in ProSystems Tax, CCH Engagement but not required Willing to learn and adapt to new responsibilities Benefits Medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and vacation/sick days
