This role supervises the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and compliance with GAAP while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. The Corporate Accounting Supervisor leads and develops accounting staff, maintains strong internal controls, and drives process improvements to support scalability and growth. Position Responsibilities Supervise the monthly and annual close process Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Oversee accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions Review monthly financial statements Support preparation of lender reporting and debt covenant compliance Assist with year-end financial audit Provide supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial information for tax filings Support acquisition accounting for mergers and acquisitions Supervise staff accountants, including reviewing work product and provide coaching and performance feedback Complete special projects and financial analyses as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred 5-8 years of accounting experience Demonstrated oral and written communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with team members and provide solid customer service to clients Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work independently Highly organized with a strong attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Accounting systems Accounting for an insurance MGA experience a plus
