Job Description
The Salvation Army is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant I/Accounting Clerk to support the daily operations of our Administrative and Finance Department. This position provides administrative, clerical, and accounting support by managing correspondence, maintaining records, preparing reports, processing financial transactions, answering phones, assisting visitors, and ensuring efficient office operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and computer skills, maintain confidentiality, and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment while supporting The Salvation Army's commitment to serving the community High school diploma or GED required; business or accounting education preferred. One to two years of administrative, clerical, or accounting experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
