  • Growth Opportunities What you will do:
  • General Ledger & Month End Close
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations; resolve variances with documented support
  • Support statistical postings and intercompany transactions as required Tax Compliance-Multi-state
  • Prepare and file monthly/quarterly sales & use tax returns across applicable states (NH, VT, ME, MA, NY and others as applicable)
  • Maintain exemption certificate files and ensure certificates are current and complete Fleet & Operational Finance
  • Administer vehicle reimbursement program (Motus or equivalent); audit submissions for policy compliance
  • Manage fuel card program (WEX or equivalent); card issuance, limit controls, weekly reconciliation
  • Process fuel receipts and location-level fuel usage reports; code to appropriate cost centers
  • Manage EZ Pass accounts; reconcile tolls, resolve violations, allocate charges by vehicle/location Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Ensure adherence to company financial procedures
  • Support external audit by preparing PBC schedules and reconciliation documentation
  • Maintain organized workpapers and audit-ready documentation for all assigned accounts
  • Flag control gaps and process inefficiencies to the Accounting Manager Process Improvement
  • Identify manual processes suitable for automation or standardization
  • Participate in cross-functional projects including ERP enhancements and M&A integrations
  • Document accounting procedures and contribute to departmental
SOP's Requirements:
Required
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-basis accounting
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to meet recurring deadlines with accuracy
