What You'll Do:
Prepare monthly journal vouchers/ financial statements Reconcile general ledger accounts Creation of expense and CAPEX pivot files Fixed asset tracking - acquisitions and disposals Prepare forecasts of revenue, expenses, and CAPEX Quarterly/ year-end jurisdictional reporting (FERC, PSC, State) Review property tax appraisals Cost of service analyses Track pipe miles/ inventory Payroll costing Directly supervises work product of subordinates; of one or more accounting clerks
What We're Looking For:
Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with two (2) years of experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Ability to calculate financial amounts and indicators Understanding basic accounting principles Attention to detail with the ability to verify accuracy in one's own work Ability to work in team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize assignments, handle multiple activities successfully while adhering to deadlines. Self-motivated, professional and courteous demeanor, dependable and punctual. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel software applications and preferably Oracle. Ability to master various in-house software applications is essential. Additional Eligibility Qualifications English language fluency, verbal and written.
