HR & Accounts Receivable Manager Horizon House Assisted Living Anchorage, Alaska Full-Time Salary:
$62,000 - $72,000 per year Join Our Team at Horizon House Horizon House Assisted Living is seeking an experienced and motivated HR & Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee both Human Resources operations and healthcare-related accounts receivable functions. This unique leadership role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and has a strong background in employee relations, compliance, payroll support, medical billing, collections, and revenue cycle management. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our employees while ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement and collection of resident accounts. Essential Responsibilities Human Resources Duties Manage onboarding, and employee orientation processes. Coordinate employee relations activities and maintain a positive workplace culture. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain employee records and personnel files. Assist with benefits administration, leave tracking, and workers' compensation claims. Support performance management, employee engagement, and retention initiatives. Coordinate training and staff development programs. Partner with department leaders on staffing and workforce planning needs. Accounts Receivable Duties Manage resident billing and collections for assisted living services. Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances. Process private pay, long-term care insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and other payer sources as applicable. Resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues promptly. Work closely with residents, families, insurance providers, and government agencies regarding account balances. Maintain accurate financial documentation and records. Prepare accounts receivable reports and provide regular updates to leadership. Support month-end closing activities related to receivables and collections. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience . Minimum of 3 years of healthcare or medical accounts receivable/billing experience . Experience within an assisted living, skilled nursing, long-term care, home health, or healthcare setting strongly preferred. Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and healthcare compliance requirements. Strong understanding of medical billing, collections, insurance reimbursement, and revenue cycle processes. Experience with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and healthcare billing software preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and financial information.
