Position Overview The Senior Manager, Accounts Payable will oversee SpeedX's end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) function. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, and payment runs in compliance with US GAAP and internal controls. This role is central to vendor relationship management, cash disbursement forecasting, and maintaining a strong control environment within a dynamic, multi-entity organization. P Leadership:
Own the end-to-end AP cycle, including invoice processing, three-way matching, payment execution, and vendor statement reconciliation.
Financial Accuracy:
Ensure proper expense recognition under US GAAP and accrual-basis principles; review coding for accuracy and appropriate cost center allocation.
Team Management:
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 2-5 AP specialists and coordinators, establishing high performance standards.
Month-End Close:
Lead month-end close activities related to AP, including subledger reconciliation to the general ledger in NetSuite, accrued liabilities, and prepaid schedules.
Internal Controls:
Maintain and strengthen internal controls over disbursements, including segregation of duties, approval workflows, and payment fraud prevention (Positive Pay).
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process automation opportunities across the P2P cycle, specifically leveraging NetSuite and Ramp (corporate card program).
Compliance & Audit:
Coordinate 1099 reporting, W-9 collection, and annual tax compliance. Support external audits by preparing AP-related schedules and cutoff testing.
Vendor & Metrics Management:
Partner with Procurement on vendor master maintenance. Monitor key AP metrics including DPO, invoice cycle time, and discount capture rates.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
7+ years of progressive AP/accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in NetSuite (or comparable ERP) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with corporate card platforms (e.g., Ramp, Concur, Brex).
Accounting Knowledge:
Solid grounding in US GAAP relevant to AP, accrual accounting, and month-end close processes.
Preferred Qualifications Language:
Fluent bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written).
Industry Background:
Experience in logistics, e-commerce, supply chain, or B2B services industries.
Advanced Tools:
Familiarity with SuiteAnalytics or BI tools for AP reporting; multi-entity and multi-currency experience. Benefits & Perks Competitive salary with performance bonus potential.
