ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER

In-person position at our Ankeny, IA location Hale Holdings is a growing, family-owned organization bringing together a diverse family of companies serving explosives services, environmental construction materials, geosynthetics, and related industries. We're currently seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to ensure financial operations are accurate, efficient, and running smoothly. As our Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day accounts payable function and ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. You'll lead and support the AP team while helping improve processes, maintain strong financial controls and build positive vendor relationships. What You'll Do Oversee the AP team and daily accounts payable operations. Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment runs for accuracy and timely payment. Ensure proper invoice coding, reconciliations, and accurate general ledger and accrual records. Resolve vendor issues and discrepancies while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Manage company credit card processes and controls. Ensure accurate vendor tax documentation and 1099 reporting requirements. Maintain organized AP records and documentation for audits and compliance. Train, supervise, and motivate AP team members while assigning and monitoring workloads. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and support effective cash-flow management. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with 1+ year of accounting experience; OR 3-4 years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounting principles, and inventory accounting processes. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail with strong communication, analytical, organization and problem-solving skills. Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop team members. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary:

Competitive salary of $85,000-$100,000/year, commensurate with experience.
