$75,000-$95,000 Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable & Compliance Manager to oversee the accounts payable process while managing subcontractor compliance documentation for active construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring vendor invoices are processed accurately, subcontractor documentation is compliant prior to payment, and project billing support is completed in accordance with company and public agency requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in construction accounting, understands subcontractor compliance requirements, and is comfortable working closely with project managers, purchasing, and accounting teams. Responsibilities Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing. Process vendor and subcontractor invoices while ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms. Maintain vendor records, W-9s, and payment documentation. Track and maintain subcontractor compliance documentation, including Certificates of Insurance (COIs), lien waivers, executed contracts, and other required project documents. Ensure all required compliance documentation is received prior to releasing payments. Monitor insurance expirations and proactively obtain updated documentation from subcontractors. Prepare and support construction payment applications and owner billing packages. Assist with certified payroll documentation and prevailing wage compliance for public works projects. Coordinate with project managers and purchasing to ensure invoices, purchase orders, and subcontract commitments align. Maintain organized, audit-ready financial and compliance records while assisting with process improvements. Requirements 5+ years of construction accounts payable or construction accounting experience. Experience working for a general contractor or construction management firm. Knowledge of subcontractor compliance, including COIs, lien waivers, and vendor documentation. Experience with construction accounting software such as Spectrum, ProjectSight, or similar ERP systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience with public works projects, certified payroll, and prevailing wage compliance. Experience preparing AIA billing or construction payment applications. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
