The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, insurance policies, medical coding, and A/R collections, along with proven leadership and problem-solving skills. The A/R Supervisor will oversee daily team operations, monitor productivity and performance, support process improvements, and work closely with internal teams and insurance carriers to resolve outstanding account issues. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and develop the A/R team. Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and hold staff accountable. Oversee healthcare Accounts Receivable and collections processes. Monitor A/R performance, DSO, outstanding balances, and monthly financial reports. Resolve insurance payment, reimbursement, coding, and contract issues. Stay updated on healthcare coding, insurance policies, and industry regulations. Audit A/R accounts to ensure timely and appropriate follow-up. Oversee correspondence and refund processes . Identify workflow issues and implement process improvements. Collaborate with management, providers, and office staff to resolve issues. Manage team schedules, timesheets, and overtime. Analyze trends and perform root-cause analysis to improve team performance. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements . Required Qualifications Previous experience supervising or leading an Accounts Receivable or Revenue Cycle team . Strong knowledge of healthcare A/R, insurance reimbursement, and revenue cycle processes . Knowledge of medical coding, CPT, modifiers, Medicare, and insurance guidelines. Experience working with insurance carriers and resolving payment or contract issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Experience with healthcare practice management or EPM systems and reporting tools is preferred. HIPAA knowledge and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
