Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to support a university environment in Wilberforce, Ohio. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented finance specialist who can lead day-to-day receivables activity while strengthening billing accuracy, collections performance, and cash application processes. The role requires a hands-on approach to account oversight, reporting, and customer service, with a focus on maintaining timely payment activity and reliable financial records. Responsibilities:
  • Direct daily accounts receivable operations, ensuring invoices, account activity, and incoming payments are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Oversee cash application workflows and cash deposit activity, making sure transactions are recorded correctly and reconciled in a timely manner.
  • Monitor outstanding balances through regular aging analysis and take action to improve collection results across assigned accounts.
  • Lead collection efforts by communicating with customers regarding past-due balances, payment arrangements, and account resolution.
  • Support billing administration by reviewing charges, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate receivables records in designated systems.
  • Prepare and analyze receivables reports in Microsoft Excel to identify trends, payment delays, and areas requiring follow-up.
  • Supervise the use of accounts receivable platforms, including Banner software, to maintain data integrity and consistent processing standards.
  • Partner with internal departments to address account questions, improve service levels, and resolve issues affecting timely payment.
  • Assist with receivables-related process updates or system-related changes as needed while preserving continuity in daily operations.
