Return to Careers Division/Department Student Engagement Reports to Vice President for Student Engagement Position Type Full-time Job Summary Wilberforce University is seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practioner/ Nurse, or Physician Assistant to join our Health Center team. As the nation's oldest private historically Black university, Wilberforce University offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant academic community. The position will provide direct care, health education, and support campus-wide wellness initiatives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide treatment for minor injuries and illnesses. Triage student health concerns and refer to appropriate medical or counseling services. Support students managing chronic health conditions. Develop and maintain health crisis management policies and train staff accordingly. Serve as a liaison/health advisor among students, parents, and others connected to the student. Review and follow up on student health history forms. Maintain accurate and confidential health records. Manage clinical supply inventory and ordering in compliance with nursing/medical guidelines. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and all relevant regulations. Contribute to the curriculum planning and development of healthy programs to promote positive health within the campus community. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Collaborate with allied professionals and other individuals and/or groups such as: students and their parents, caregivers and advocates, university staff, other professionals working with the students, and Community Services including Clinical Commissioning Groups.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Completion of an accredited Nursing program.
Licensure:
Current Nursing certification in good standing with the Ohio Board of Nursing (or equivalent).
Experience:
