TEMPORARY ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER
Oklahoma City, OK | On-Site Full-Time | $33-38/hr. A growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager with multi-unit accounting experience to oversee daily AP operations, lead a team, and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This position will play an important role in strengthening AP processes, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting financial operations across multiple locations. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable department across multiple locations Lead, mentor, and develop the AP team while promoting efficiency and continuous improvement Review and approve invoices for accuracy and compliance with purchase orders, contracts, and company policies Manage vendor inquiries, billing discrepancies, and payment issues Lead AP-related month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting Develop and implement best practices to improve AP workflows and efficiency across multiple units Partner with internal departments and location teams to resolve issues and ensure timely invoice processing Ensure accurate documentation, internal controls, and compliance with financial requirements Prepare and present AP reports, metrics, and financial information to senior leadership Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and overall AP performance Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required 5+ years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience 2+ years of management or supervisory experience Previous multi-unit, multi-location, or multi-entity accounting/AP experience required Strong understanding of AP processes, accounting principles, and internal controls Experience managing AP operations across multiple locations or business units Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent organizational and time-management skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail
