The Manager, Accounts Payable (AP) leads all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual functions of the Accounts Payable team, as well as the Travel & Entertainment (T&E) program (including corporate card administration and check disbursements). The Manager, Accounts Payable (AP) leads the AP team in executing high-accuracy payment processing, corporate card administration, and vendor disbursements across daily, periodic, and year-end close cycles. This position is responsible for streamlining AP operations, leveraging technology improvements, and enforcing internal controls and compliance. Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position): Manage the AP disbursement team handling vendor payments (check, ACH, and electronic payment solutions). Manage the AP team in executing multi-channel vendor disbursements (ACH, wire, check, and virtual cards) while maintaining payment accuracy and schedule integrity. Oversee corporate credit card administration, charge tracking, and employee expense reporting through the T&E system. Serve as an escalation point for vendor relations, maintain strong cross-departmental partnerships, and resolve high-priority internal customer requests. Identify, recommend, and implement workflow optimizations, automation strategies, and internal control enhancements to drive operational efficiency. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for AP processes during future system modernizations and enterprise technology migrations. Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all Accounts Payable inquiries. Leverage advanced spreadsheet capabilities (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, automated reconciliation) to analyze AP metrics, identify trends, and streamline audit compliance. Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date SOPs, policies, and internal control documentation for all accounts payable workflows. Oversee regulatory compliance across all AP functions, including 1099 tax reporting, sales and use tax validation, and state/federal regulatory filings. Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor AP staff to foster continuous professional growth and maintain a high standard of accuracy. Evaluate team performance, establish operational KPIs, manage workloads, and address performance issues constructively.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of related experience. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience. 18 years of age or older. Skilled in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time. Must have a valid Driver's License Bachelor's degree

  • Accounts Payable Manager (APM), Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) Prior hands-on experience managing end-to-end accounts payable processing within the Workday Financials ecosystem.
