In this pivotal role, you will oversee the processing of vendor invoices, ensure compliance with financial policies, and maintain accurate financial records. Your expertise will drive efficiency in payment workflows, uphold financial integrity, and support our commitment to operational excellence. Duties Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, validation, coding, and payment authorization. Oversee the timely processing of invoices using financial software such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle ERP systems, ensuring adherence to company policies and deadlines. Implement and maintain accounts payable automation tools to streamline workflows and improve accuracy. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards across all transactions. Reconcile vendor statements and perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy of payments and outstanding balances. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including accounting, procurement, and finance to resolve discrepancies efficiently. Prepare detailed reports on accounts payable activities using Excel data analysis techniques like VLOOKUP functions and formulas for insightful financial oversight. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while handling data entry and invoice processing with precision. Support audits by providing documentation related to accounts payable transactions and ensuring adherence to internal controls. Assist in training staff on new systems such as Paychex, ADP, Kronos, or UltiPro to enhance team capabilities. Skills Extensive experience with accounting systems such as Workday, SAP, PeopleSoft, Sage, or Ceridian. Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills—formulas, pivot tables, data analysis tools—and spreadsheet management for account reconciliation and reporting. Knowledge of accounts payable automation tools and financial software like QuickBooks or Quicken for efficient invoice processing. Familiarity with payroll management systems such as ADP or Kronos is a plus for integrated financial operations. Deep understanding of SOX compliance requirements and internal control procedures for financial accuracy and integrity. Excellent analysis skills for identifying discrepancies through account reconciliation and journal entries review. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments and support continuous process improvements in accounts payable functions.
