Costa Mesa, CA - Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Assignment Type:

Direct Hire;

Compensation:

$75,000 - $90,000 + discretionary bonus

Work Schedule:
M-F, 9-5

This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to take ownership of the full-cycle accounts payable function and help strengthen the overall AP process. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys managing the day-to-day AP process while also identifying ways to improve efficiency and accuracy. The AP Supervisor will oversee a small AP function, work closely with internal departments and vendors, and coordinate with remote team members to ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, reconciliations, and payments
  • Oversee approximately 600-800 invoices per month and manage weekly payment processing
  • Provide guidance and support to an AP Clerk and coordinate with remote AP resources
  • Review AP activity for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment questions
  • Maintain organized AP records and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items
  • Identify opportunities to improve AP procedures, workflows, and controls
  • Help optimize the use of the company's accounting systems and improve overall AP efficiency
  • Partner with the Controller and other internal stakeholders on process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure AP activities are completed accurately and in accordance with established policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Strong full-cycle accounts payable experience with the ability to independently own the AP function
  • Prior supervisory or lead-level AP experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with both local and remote team members
  • Process improvement experience strongly preferred
  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Bank of America CashPro is a plus
  • Strong Excel and general accounting systems experience This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP Supervisor or strong AP Lead who is looking to take ownership of an AP function, improve processes, and grow within a developing accounting organization.
