Job Description

Vaco Los Angeles is working with a client who is seeking an Accounts Receivable Manager to assist their team. The Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee the accounts receivable team and ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices, accurate maintenance of customer accounts, and adherence to company credit policies. This role is hybrid in Chatsworth, CA and can pay up to $50/hr, depending on experience.
Duties:
Serve as a bridge between Controller and AR staff , providing oversight and support to stabilize and improve the accounts receivable function Partner closely with leadership to assess current AR and credit processes , identify inefficiencies, and implement practical improvements Act as a change agent within a highly manual environment, helping modernize workflows and drive process optimization Review and streamline purchase order (PO) processing , including evaluating opportunities for automation and improved intake methods Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies where gaps currently exist Support credit and AR operations for a predominantly e-commerce business with ~90 active accounts and fluctuating PO volume Collaborate with AR team member to enhance productivity, communication, and workflow efficiency Assist with audit readiness and ensure processes are aligned ahead of upcoming deadlines Partner cross-functionally (e.g., customer service, treasury) to improve end-to-end processes , including recent banking/treasury changes Utilize AS400 and other internal systems to evaluate and improve current-state operations
Additional Details:
Hybrid schedule (2-3 days onsite in Chatsworth, CA as needed) Contract duration: 3+ months (with potential extension) Background check required (criminal and SSN verification) Interviews conducted virtually by senior accounting leadership
