This requisition expires on October 9, 2026, but may close earlier if the position is filled prior to the expiration date. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance with state law as it relates to the Accounts Payable Division.
Essential Functions:
Oversees and addresses financial system processes as they relate to the Accounts Payable Division Oversees the production of vendor payments, ensuring compliance with City policy and all relevant laws Oversees the transmission of data between the City and it's banking institution and addresses any related issues Prepares and maintains reports related to the division and for supervisor review Researches and resolves departmental problems; Negotiates vendor disputes Trains departments on the accounting system and Accounts Payable policy Assists with the preparation of 1099s Assists in the annual audit Makes presentations to city staff as necessary Audits and approves all vouchers for payment and maintains appropriate internal controls in the division Ability to get along with customers and co-workers Maintains regular and punctual on-site attendance

Minimum Qualifications/Acceptable Equivalency:
High School Diploma or GED equivalency Four years accounting or accounts payable experience OR Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or General Business Administration with two years accounting or accounts payable experience OR Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration OR Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job
