Accounts Payable Supervisor Richardson, Texas | Full-Time | Exempt Ponder Company is a family-owned athletic flooring and equipment contractor with 50 years of experience building gymnasiums, courts, and athletic facilities across Texas, Colorado, and beyond. We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our growing AP team, reporting directly to our CFO. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who wants ownership of a full accounts payable function and the chance to build and mentor a team. What You'll Do Supervise, train, and mentor our Accounts Payable Coordinator and Accounts Payable Clerk. Own the full-cycle accounts payable process — invoice receipt, coding, approval, and payment — across our flooring and equipment divisions. Serve as the escalation point for vendor and subcontractor payment issues and relationship management. Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls across the AP function. Support month-end and year-end close alongside our accounting team and CFO. What We're Looking For 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role; construction industry experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of multi-state and multi-jurisdiction sales and use tax coding. Experience with Computer Ease or similar construction ERP/accounting software strongly preferred. Experience with subcontractor compliance documentation (COIs, lien waivers, W-9s) preferred. Demonstrated experience supervising, training, and developing a team.
