Job Description

Position Summary The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the accounts payable function while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payment processing across the organization. This position oversees accounts payable operations, corporate credit card administration, vendor management, purchasing compliance, and month-end responsibilities while partnering with operational leaders to improve processes and maintain strong financial controls. The Accounts Payable Manager serves as a key resource for departments throughout the organization by providing financial guidance, resolving payment issues, implementing process improvements, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Accounts Payable Leadership Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department. Supervise and develop Accounts Payable staff by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback. Establish department priorities and ensure deadlines are consistently achieved. Create and maintain departmental procedures and documentation. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process enhancements. Invoice Processing & Payment Management Oversee the complete invoice lifecycle from receipt through payment. Ensure invoices are coded accurately and approved in accordance with company policy. Manage weekly payment runs, ACH payments and check processing. Monitor invoice aging and proactively resolve outstanding items. Review invoices for accuracy, proper documentation, and purchase order compliance. Work directly with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues. Corporate Credit Card Administration Administer the company's corporate credit card program. Process new card requests, credit limit increases, and account maintenance. Monitor monthly expense coding and enforce submission deadlines. Review expense reports for appropriate coding, required receipts, business purpose, and branch allocations. Communicate policy requirements and follow up on delinquent cardholders. Suspend or reinstate credit cards in accordance with company policy. Maintain credit card documentation and reporting. Purchasing & Compliance Support and enforce purchase order policies across all departments. Partner with operational leaders to resolve purchasing and invoice issues. Ensure expenditures comply with company policies and financial controls. Assist departments with coding guidance and purchasing procedures. Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Prepare accounts payable reports and aging schedules. Reconcile AP-related general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation. Assist with accruals and financial reporting as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as the primary Accounts Payable resource for operations, finance, and department managers. Collaborate with leadership to resolve financial issues and improve workflows. Assist with ERP system enhancements and testing. Support special projects and initiatives assigned by Finance leadership. Process Improvement Evaluate existing workflows and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Develop standardized procedures to improve consistency across the organization. Recommend technology solutions that streamline Accounts Payable operations. Monitor department metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
