JOB SUMMARY
: The Manager provides leadership, oversight, and direction for the Accounts Payable (AP) function, ensuring staff have the guidance, resources, and knowledge necessary to perform their duties accurately and efficiently. This position is accountable for the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including AP policies, procedures, vendor management, cash disbursements, employee reimbursements, and the supervision, development, and performance management of the AP team. The Manager is responsible for the overall administration and accountability of the AP department, ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of invoices and payments while delivering high-quality financial, clerical, and administrative services. The role oversees annual IRS reporting requirements, including Forms 1099 and 1042, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and within required deadlines. The Manager maintains current knowledge of IRS regulations related to domestic and foreign payments, Accounts Payable best practices, and Tribal policies and procedures to ensure compliance and effective operations.
COMPENSATION
$36.86 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field. •Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years of experience working with Accounts Payable processing. Five (5) years of experience with direct accounting, including general ledger and financial reporting. Five (5) years of experience with GASB and/or Fund, General Accounting concepts. Five (5) years of experience in a Supervisory role, working with Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
