Job Description Quality Auditor/Inspector Reports to:
Quality Supervisor Status:
Hourly SUMMARY The Quality Auditor is responsible for recognizing non-conforming materials, parts, and finished products. Once non-conforming items are identified, the Quality Auditor is tasked with issuing a quality hold tag and ensuring that material is isolated in the quality hold area. The Quality Auditor is also responsible for auditing the work-in-progress as well as all finished products by sampling and measuring each item and ensuring that they meet the appropriate criteria. Experience with various dimensional measuring tools is expected.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
Strong math, typing and computer skills. Good communication, research, problem-solving and time-management skills. High level of accuracy, efficiency and accountability. Attention to detail. Ability to take guided reference from Supervisor. Excellent attendance and performance record.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1. Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers); attention to detail; ability to read and interpret technical drawings. 2. Strong math, typing and computer skill, especially with Microsoft Office. 3. Excellent communication, research, problem solving and time management skills. 4. Prominent level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. 5. Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments. 6. Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills, and possess computer skills in MS Office; Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook 7. Must work in a safe orderly manner, following all safety, corporate, quality and contract requirements at PCI and assure others act accordingly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Conduct in-process and final inspections of products using appropriate measuring tools. 2. Document inspection results and report non-conformities to the Quality Supervisor. 3. Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. 4. Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment. 5. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality department

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
