40 hours per weekPosition SummaryWe are seeking experienced Audit Managers to plan, manage, and coordinate financial statement audit engagements for clients across various industries, including subsidiaries of Japanese publicly traded companies.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, J-GAAP, J-SOX, GAAS, and AICPA professional standards, along with experience managing audit engagements, evaluating internal controls, supervising audit teams, and communicating directly with clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate financial statement audit engagements from start to completion.

Develop audit strategies, risk assessments, audit plans, and engagement timelines.

Ensure audit engagements comply with GAAS and AICPA professional standards.

Perform and review internal control testing and substantive audit procedures.

Evaluate the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial statements.

Review accounting transactions for compliance with U.S. GAAP.Evaluate reconciliation adjustments between J-GAAP and
U.S. GAAP
for subsidiaries of Japanese parent companies.

Evaluate subsidiary-level internal controls in accordance with Japan's Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (J-SOX) requirements.

Communicate with client management regarding audit findings, internal control deficiencies, financial reporting matters, and recommendations.

Supervise, train, and provide technical guidance to audit team members.

Review audit workpapers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with professional standards.

Prepare and review audit reports, financial statements, management letters, and other audit deliverables.

Monitor engagement progress and ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.

Identify and resolve complex accounting and auditing issues in collaboration with firm leadership and client management.

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.

Minimum 24 months of experience in the offered position or a closely related role, such as Accountant or Auditor.

Active CPA license required.

Strong experience performing audits for subsidiaries of Japanese publicly traded companies.

Hands-on knowledge of J-SOX requirements and internal control evaluation.

Strong knowledge of J-GAAP and U.S. GAAP, including the ability to evaluate GAAP reconciliation adjustments.

Strong understanding of GAAS and AICPA professional standards.

Experience supervising audit teams and reviewing audit workpapers.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Travel RequirementsThis position requires domestic travel to client locations across multiple states for on-site audit fieldwork.

January-May (Busy Season): Approximately once per month.

June-December (Non-Busy Season): Approximately once every two months.

Travel typically ranges from one day to several days, depending on the engagement.
