Bristol Health is seeking an Audit & Compliance Specialist responsible for ensuring the organization upholds the highest standards of compliance, privacy, and internal controls across all entities. This role supports all aspects of designing, implementing, and reporting on the Internal Audit, Compliance, and Privacy Work Plans including the annual Enterprise Risk Management Program, Conflict of Interest, and any other related duties. The Audit & Compliance Specialist will assist with all phases of the planning and execution of Internal Compliance Committee meetings and Audit & Compliance Committee meetings of the Board of Directors.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist with the design and implementation of the annual Internal Audit, Compliance, and Privacy Work Plans. Act as a designee of the Compliance & Privacy Office, as assigned. Assist with privacy related incidents, including investigation, documentation, and reporting of findings; review and manage privacy cases. Assist with regulatory audits, investigations, and internal reviews to ensure compliance and privacy standards are maintained. Assist with the conducting and reporting of the annual Enterprise Risk Management Program. Assist with the planning and execution of the annual Conflict of Interest disclosure process and related reporting. Assist with internal control process and procedure reviews, noting any gaps, omissions, or opportunities for improvement. Assist with the implementation of corrective action plans and process improvements. Present at new hire orientation and other workforce training and education sessions. Stay abreast of changes in health care laws and regulations; complete research as directed. Assist with policy reviews and assessments; draft policy proposals. Maintain responsibility for professional growth and development. Comply with all applicable organizational policies, including the Code of Conduct. Exhibit predictive reliability and continually foster a culture of excellence. Perform all other duties and tasks as directed. Educational /Minimum Requirements :
B.S. Degree. Preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the fields of healthcare, compliance, privacy, internal audit or comparable field.State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements :
None.Bristol Hospital Mandated Educational Requirements :
General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Other programs as mandated by the Hospital.Special Requirements:
Strong PC skills with ability to create and analyze spreadsheets and other complex financial and operational data. Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.Physical Requirements :
Extended sitting, standing and walking. Occasional lifting of office supplies and materials, usually under 50 pounds.Work Environmen t:
