Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Auditor to join our healthcare compliance team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations and quality assurance processes. As a Medical Auditor, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and supporting continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare quality and compliance. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to maintaining high standards of patient care and regulatory adherence within a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough audits of medical records and documentation, and compliance with accreditation standards such as JCAHO and DCF. Evaluate adherence to healthcare policies and FDA regulations Identify areas of risk or non-compliance and develop actionable recommendations for process improvements. Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing teams to clarify documentation discrepancies and facilitate corrective actions. Maintain detailed audit reports and documentation in accordance with healthcare compliance management protocols. Support ongoing training initiatives by providing feedback on documentation practices to improve overall quality assurance efforts. Skills Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance standards. Proficiency in Medical terminology. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) management systems and EMR/EHR. Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex healthcare data sets for quality improvement initiatives. Knowledge of accreditation standards such as JCAHO and FDA regulations related to healthcare practices. Strong understanding of healthcare risk management principles and managed care operations. Effective team leadership skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams on compliance projects.
