As the leading performing arts organization in South Central Indiana in terms of quality, leadership, innovation, and overall guest satisfaction, IU Auditorium exists to create world-class arts and event experiences at Indiana University. In addition to the wide variety of arts and entertainment events, the Auditorium continues to serve as the community's gathering place, hosting a variety of university ceremonies, orientation programs, conferences, weddings, and special events. Job Summary Sells tickets in-person. Processes orders. Answers questions about events. Promptly resolves customer complaints. Ensures maximum client satisfaction. Provides extraordinary customer service. Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred Sales or customer service experience SKILLS Required Outstanding customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to interact and communicate with a wide variety of people Comfortable giving phone customer service Proficient using technology Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts Knowledge of the venue and events being promoted Working Conditions / Demands This role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position as well as the ability to move about the workplace for long durations. It requires effective communication, and the ability to operate specialized software for ticket sales. The role requires the ability to move objects up to 10 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation.
