Full Job Description Position Description:
Our CPA firm is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to lead end-to-end student financial aid (SFA) compliance audits, driving engagements from initial sample selection to client-ready draft reports. Serving as a liaison between clients and firm management, you will manage engagement timelines, client communications, and prepare audit workpapers to keep projects moving forward seamlessly. In addition, you will play a key operational role by providing hands-on, in-office supervision, mentorship, and quality assurance for co-op staff.

Responsibilities:
Perform audit, review, and compilation procedures, taking ownership of Student Financial Aid (SFA) compliance audits from start to a completed draft. Examine and analyze client financial statements and accounting records. Prepare detailed audit workpapers and draft audit reports. Act as the main link between the firm and the client for all compliance audit matters. Supervise and mentor co-op staff to ensure file organization, dashboard updates, and audit standards are maintained. Propose compliance finding recommendations and confirm findings with managers.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required CPA or CPA candidate a plus 2-4 years public accounting audit experience Proficiency with MS Office (Excel and Word) Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets and Docs) Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Capability to supervise junior staff Valid driver's license required Must be willing to travel out of state approx. 2 weeks per year
