Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is currently seeking a full-time Energy Auditor. As an Energy Auditor, you'll help homeowners create safer, healthier, and more energy-efficient homes. You'll conduct detailed energy assessments, identify areas for improvement, and recommend needed repairs and upgrades—all while following industry standards and protocols. Responsibilities Perform complete energy audits which include complete testing of combustion appliances and heating systems. Collect all energy usage data for input into approved energy modeling software. You have knowledge of key energy efficient concepts or are able to learn these technologies. Complete accurate energy audit reports. Offer training and technical assistance to clients and contractors during work progress. You communicate with the client throughout the process, providing education, background information and updates. Manage multiple contractors and projects concurrently. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent, 2-3 years related work experience in related field. BPI Building Analyst - Professional certification within 6 months of employment. Must have valid Maine driver's license and ability to provide adequate insured transportation. Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency. Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.
