Job Overview We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Floor Auditors at our HILLSDALE and QUINCY facilities , with one opening on 1st shift, one on 2nd shift, and one on 3rd shift at each location . The Floor Auditor is responsible for conducting routine production floor audits to verify compliance with approved processes, quality standards, and gauging requirements. This position identifies quality concerns, supports containment and corrective actions, and works with Production, Engineering, and Quality to prevent nonconforming product from reaching the customer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for actively supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives of the facility. Perform and consistently complete scheduled and random audits of manufacturing work cells to verify compliance with standardized work instructions, control plans, and customer requirements. Verify operators are following approved manufacturing processes and documenting required inspections accurately. Audit tooling, fixtures, work instructions, visual aids, and process documentation for accuracy and compliance. Ensure required gages and measuring equipment are present, calibrated, properly identified, and being used correctly. Verify inspection frequencies and measurement methods are being followed. Identify process deviations, quality concerns, or nonconforming conditions in a timely manner and communicate findings to appropriate personnel to help prevent process escapes and customer quality issues. Assist with timely containment activities and product purges when nonconforming material is identified to prevent suspect or nonconforming product from progressing through the manufacturing process or reaching the customer. Provide effective support for internal, customer, and supplier sorting activities, containment actions, and related quality concerns. Verify suspect material is properly identified, segregated, and dispositioned according to company procedures. Participate in customer issue investigations and assist with implementation and verification of corrective actions. Perform layered process audits (LPAs) and other quality audits as assigned. Accurately document audit findings and maintain complete records of inspections, Follow up on audit findings and corrective actions in a timely manner to verify Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to improve process compliance and product quality. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. All other reasonable duties as assigned by a supervisor or any member of management. Competencies and Qualifications English proficiency required, including both verbal and written communication. Manufacturing quality experience preferred. Knowledge of automotive quality systems preferred, including

IATF16949, ISO

9001, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and FMEA. Ability to read blueprints, control plans, work instructions, and inspection standards. Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, thread gages, and Go/No-Go gages. Strong attention to detail, observational, auditing, and problem-solving skills. Ability to recognize process abnormalities and quality risks. Excellent organizational and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Ability to make objective decisions based on established quality standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels and coach operators on process compliance. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED preferred. Associate degree or technical training preferred. Previous manufacturing quality or auditing experience preferred. Work Location and Attendance Requirements This position is designated as an on-site position and requires work to be performed at the Company's assigned facility. Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Report to and perform work at the assigned Company facility as scheduled. Work directly with manufacturing equipment, materials, production processes, and team members in a manufacturing environment. Comply with all safety, quality, and operational requirements while performing duties on-site. Due to the nature of floor auditing, direct process observation, gauging verification, containment activities, and interaction with manufacturing personnel, remote or home-based work arrangements are not available. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements This position is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to production equipment, machinery, tools, and industrial maintenance activities. The employee will routinely work throughout the facility, including production areas, maintenance shops, utility spaces, and warehouse environments. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, forklifts, noise, vibration, dust, oils, lubricants, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures is expected. Strict adherence to all company safety policies and procedures is required, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. The physical requirements of this position include the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach for extended periods throughout the workday. The employee must be able to safely lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally assist with heavier items using proper lifting techniques or mechanical assistance. The role requires manual dexterity for the use of hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to inspect, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment in confined or elevated spaces as needed.
