Quality Auditor Reports to: Department Supervisor at specific
Business Unit FLSA Status :
Non-exempt Schedule:
Assigned manufacturing shift. Typically, 5 - 8hr shifts or 4 - 10hr shifts. Overtime as needed.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
Perform all aspects of the job involved in the Quality Auditing processes of Modineer Company. Employees must follow standard work instructions and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
1. Audit material and product identification and traceability. 2. 2. Conduct various product audits such as first piece; in-process; last piece; and final dock audits to ensure product compliance. 3. Conduct process audits on various stamping, roll-forming, welding, and assembly. 4. Wear appropriate PPE. 5. Handle/lift/push/pull movements up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis. 6. Perform required measurements and testing. 7. Document inspection and test results. 8. Identify and isolate suspect and non-conforming materials and products. 9. Communicate findings to other team members. 10. Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge : 1. Must be able to read and interpret part prints, including GD&T and weld symbols. 2. 2. Must be able to read and interpret process and production specifications and/or work standards. 3. Must be able to evaluate weld quality. 4. 4. Must be able to operate and read results obtained from measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) 5. 5. Must be able to perform and evaluate results of various types of testing, document inspection and / or test results. 6. Must be able to enter data and/or required information into computer system. 7. Excellent attendance, attitude, and communication skills are critical.
Physical environment/working conditions:
The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day. Other (e.g., customer contact or access to confidential information): Must be able to work as part of a team. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
