Job Description

Summit Plastic Molding is a plastic injection molding company, we have been in business for over 40 years and are growing in the automotive industry. We are seeking a full time Final Auditors for shifts in a clean and safe work environment. This will be an in-person interview with the department Manager. 1st Shift runs 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM 2nd Shift runs 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM 3rd Shift runs 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM Direct Hire Full-time; Monday thru Friday Employee benefits offered after 90 days Competitive pay Paid bi-weekly (Every other Friday) Opportunities for advancement SUMMARY Plastic (Injection Molding) and/or Quality experience a plus! Support Quality team through Operator training requirements to Job specific Work Instructions (part specific) Ensure that quality (defect free) parts are being packed by completing online dock audit or certification audit of product 100% Excelent communication/training skills Able to follow direction and instruction
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Online Final Audit Inspection Operator training Containment Inspection- Per customer concerns or rejections. This would require 100% certification per customer requirement (as necessary). Internal containment - 100% inspection based off an internal concern or operator concern. Document findings and inform Manager of excessive findings Verification of correct labels, packaging, and quantities. Promote and involved with continuous improvement (Kaizens and Jidoka). Participate in CAR's (8D's, 5 Why's, ect.) when applicable. Knowledge/Understanding of
IATF 16949
requirements Perform LPA's Assist Quality Inspectors as needed (Back up for Inspector) Label creation and verifications for production product Assist in Gage R&Rs, and other assigned tasks as applicable.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure product quality through fulfillment of quality standards Identify and report quality problems Escalation notification for high scrap, abnormal scrap, and /or additional training support for any production personnel. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to operators Work to improve systems, performance, and identifies skills, training and capabilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
At least one year experience in Quality and/or Injection Molding
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Basic knowledge of Injection Molding and/or Quality Principles Working in a fast-paced environment, standing, bending, lifting 40 pounds.
