INTERNAL AUDIT INTERN
Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
This internship will allow a qualified student / existing employee seeking a degree to gain experience and knowledge in the Internal Audit Department. The intern will work on projects within the Department as workloads and schedules dictate. Under the direction of Internal Audit Management, this position will assist in audits to independently assess the accuracy of financial records, effectiveness of controls, efficiency of operations and safeguarding of assets. Additionally, this position will perform administrative duties and special projects relative to the Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Assists in the performance of audit work under supervision. Maintains adequate supporting documentation to ensure proper support of audit reports. Reviews reports designed to monitor the operational processes of the control system. Conducts, or provides assistance, on any other projects, reviews, examinations, investigations, due diligence, audits and/or other duties deemed appropriate in their circumstance requested by Internal Audit Management. Other duties as assigned by management Regular and reliable attendance.

Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software. Ability to maintain all organizational and professional ethical standards. Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance. Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers, and co-workers. Ability to pay close attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Ability to create an organized, efficient work environment. Ability to work under pressure of deadlines. Ability to function as a team player.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Individual should be seeking a degree in the field of finance, accounting, and/or information technology (or a related discipline). Previous banking experience or equivalent work experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS
Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negotiable amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Job involves sitting most of the time and if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
