The Staff Internal Auditor supports the planning and execution of internal audits and internal control assessments at Applied Underwriters. The role contributes to evaluating the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control processes in accordance with professional internal auditing standards. This role is integral to ensuring that controls are well-designed and operating effectively, in alignment with professional standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical abilities and communication skills to operate effectively within a complex environment and build positive working relationships with key stakeholders.
Requirements:
One year of experience in internal audit, external audit, accounting, or a related control or compliance function preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or relevant equivalent experience). Foundational understanding of auditing principles, internal controls, and risk assessment within financial or operational processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Our Benefits Include:
