Job Description

Public Accounting | CPA Firm | Immediate Need A well-established and growing CPA firm in the Princeton, NJ area is seeking an experienced Tax / Audit Senior to join its team. This is a strong opportunity for a public accounting professional looking for greater client exposure, more responsibility, and long-term advancement within a collaborative firm environment. Candidates may have a stronger background in tax or audit , although experience across both areas is highly valued. The firm is actively interviewing and looking to make a hire quickly. Compensation & Opportunity Competitive salary based on overall experience, technical background, CPA status, and prior management or supervisory responsibility. Candidates with stronger review, client-management, engagement-management, or staff-supervision experience will be considered at a higher compensation level. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, S corporations, trusts, and estates Participate in audit, review, compilation, and other financial statement engagements Prepare workpapers, financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation Assist with tax planning, research, and client consulting matters Work directly with partners, managers, and clients on tax and accounting issues Manage multiple engagements and deadlines throughout the year Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance based on experience Develop strong client relationships and serve as a reliable point of contact Stay current with changes in tax law, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification preferred Approximately 3-10+ years of recent public accounting experience Experience in tax, audit, or a combination of both Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial reporting Experience reviewing work and/or supervising staff is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and commonly used tax and accounting software Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple client engagements in a deadline-driven environment Why Consider This Opportunity Immediate hiring need and streamlined interview process Competitive compensation based on experience Bonus potential Comprehensive benefits Exposure to a diverse client base and multiple industries Direct interaction with partners and firm leadership Opportunity to work across tax, audit, accounting, and advisory engagements Collaborative, professional work environment Strong potential for continued advancement and increased responsibility !
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
