About the Audit & Assurance Team Our audit and assurance services extend far beyond the standard issuance of financial statements. About the Audit Associate Role Associates are accountable for applying their working knowledge and skills, developed through formal training or relevant work experience, to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively. They perform straightforward tasks with specific instructions and consistently deliver high-quality work. In this role, you will: Conduct fieldwork and testing, and clearly document results in accordance with applicable professional standards. Collaborate with team members to complete assignments accurately and timely Adhere to departmental and firm operating procedures Prepare and maintain accurate electronic workpapers and documentation Assist with preparing basic financial statements and related disclosures Analyze financial information and investigate discrepancies or unusual items Develop an understanding of clients' businesses, operations, and industries Communicate with clients and team members to gather information and provide updates Follow firm policies, professional standards, and established audit procedures To be successful in this role, you will bring with you: Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting A basic understanding of accounting and auditing principles Basic industry-specific knowledge Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, OnPoint Audit, and other programs utilized within A&A department Ability to convey information clearly and effectively to clients and team members Critical proactive thinking Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines Professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent client service Progress toward or interest in obtaining CPA licensure Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work in a standard office environment and sit at a desk for extended periods About BST Gallagher Flynn LLP BST Gallagher Flynn is a regional accounting and advisory firm formed through the merger of BST & Co. and Gallagher Flynn & Company.
