Job Description
The Auditor role has the primary responsibility of learning and applying technical audit skills while working as part of the audit team under close coaching and supervision.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work on client matters assigned by the Firm including working on sections of audits and AUP engagements.
- Learn accounting and audit standards, updates, and regulatory changes.
- Use Firm resources to find answers to issues.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency, accuracy, thoroughness, and efficiency.
- Attend training courses assigned by the Firm and work with managers to build continuing education plan.
- Use Firm's personal professional development program to continuously improve technical and interpersonal skills.
- Model the Firm's core values and actively engages in firm activities.
- Promote the Firm with our clients, business associates and through civic activities.
- Prepares and updates library of findings upon completion of audit reports.
- Manage UAN (Uniform Accounting Network) flies, prepare and tracking extensions MOA's (Modification of Audit), etc.
- Understands personal productivity metrics and adheres to project timelines to meet goals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic accounting knowledge such as debits and credits.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
- Experience in government and/or non-profit accounting is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Pay:
