Job Description

The Auditor role has the primary responsibility of learning and applying technical audit skills while working as part of the audit team under close coaching and supervision.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Work on client matters assigned by the Firm including working on sections of audits and AUP engagements.
  • Learn accounting and audit standards, updates, and regulatory changes.
  • Use Firm resources to find answers to issues.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency, accuracy, thoroughness, and efficiency.
  • Attend training courses assigned by the Firm and work with managers to build continuing education plan.
  • Use Firm's personal professional development program to continuously improve technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Model the Firm's core values and actively engages in firm activities.
  • Promote the Firm with our clients, business associates and through civic activities.
  • Prepares and updates library of findings upon completion of audit reports.
  • Manage UAN (Uniform Accounting Network) flies, prepare and tracking extensions MOA's (Modification of Audit), etc.
  • Understands personal productivity metrics and adheres to project timelines to meet goals.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Basic accounting knowledge such as debits and credits.
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
  • Experience in government and/or non-profit accounting is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Pay:
From $45,000.00 per year
