Audit Associate - 65k firstPROPhiladelphia - 3.7 Philadelphia, PA Job Details Full-time | Contract $65,000 a year 22 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Finance Analysis skills Bachelor's degree GAAP Accounting Full Job Description A confidential firstPRO client, a private equity-backed company located in Philadelphia, is seeking an Audit Associate to join their accounting and finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with public accounting or audit experience who is looking to transition into a private industry environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with internal and external audit processes, including preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and audit requests. Perform account reconciliations and review financial data for accuracy and completeness. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account analysis. Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management review. Assist with maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP. Analyze financial information and investigate discrepancies or unusual activity. Work closely with the accounting team, external auditors, and other cross-functional departments. Assist with improving accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. 1-3 years of experience in public accounting, audit, or a similar accounting role. Audit experience is strongly preferred. Experience working with or auditing private equity-backed companies is a plus. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Ability to work onsite in Center City Philadelphia 3 days per week.
Compensation:
Up to $65,000 depending on experience. Hybrid schedule — 3 days onsite in Center City Philadelphia.
Pay:
$65,000.00 per year
